Brockhampton Is Working With Rick Rubin
The collective is recording ‘Puppy’ with the legendary producer.

It looks like Brockhampton and Rick Rubin are working together on the collective’s upcoming album, Puppy. The project was teased last month following the announcement that Team Effort was set to be delayed. Recently, Kevin Abstract revealed on Twitter that their SATURATION trilogy was partially inspired by Rubin. Abstract was able to meet the famous producer through Odd Future’s manager, Christian Clancy.
“Clancy introduced me to Rick right before I released American Boyfriend… I was struggling with making the follow up to AMBF so I went and spoke with him, seeking guidance.. One of our conversations inspired me to release three albums in one year,” he wrote.
Last week, Brockhampton announced they are signed to RCA Records and it’s rumored that the deal is worth more than $15 million USD. While there isn’t a release date yet for Puppy, it’s most likely coming out in the summer of 2018.
