The X-Files Is Coming Back to TV
According to The Wrap, the hugely popular sci-fi television horror drama The X-Files will be returning for a six-episode limited series, with filming set to begin this summer. Having aired its final episode 13 years ago, the Emmy Award-winning show ran for nine seasons with two theatrical releases. Alongside the show’s original creator and executive producer Chris Cater, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will also be returning, reprising their roles as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively. Yet to have a specified air date, The X-Files will be produced and broadcasted by 20th Century Fox Television and Ten Thirteen Production.
