Hudson Mohawke has taken to Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 program to premiere a new song off his forthcoming album, Lantern. “Very First Breath” was premiered as Annie Mac’s “Hottest Record In The World” on her show, and serves at the first full-length effort HudMo has released in support of Lantern. French singer Irfane lends his vocals to the song, giving the production the feel of a more mainstream EDM hit. HudMo’s forthcoming LP has been in the news a lot as of late, with the producer breaking down its influences and formally announcing the project less than a month ago, but this marks the first time we’ve heard a song from the album in its entirety. We can probably expect to hear a lot more from HudMo in the coming months now that the release of “Very First Breath” has broken the ice. You can listen to “Very First Breath” above.
