‘GRIND’ showcases the new collection in action.
For Spring/Summer 2018, Stüssy showcased a range of relaxed, retro-minded garments in line with the brand’s California heritage, updated with contemporary cuts and eccentric details. GRIND recontextualizes the range, highlighting it in a Tokyo-based editorial and elevating it with the magazine’s usual playful styling. Stüssy’s graphic shirts, cropped jeans and slouchy jackets appear in a variety of casually layered looks, highlighting the various branding and patterns offered by the release. The looks blend workwear influence in the form of double-knee trousers and plaid jackets with street and skatewear staples like patterned shirts and track pants, achieving the kind of effortless cool Stüssy has always represented.
