The Shoe Surgeon Drops Jack Daniels-Inspired Nike Air Force 1
A Tennessee Honey-influenced shoe for charity.
Fresh off the unveiling of Pie Top 2.0s for Pizza Hut, The Shoe Surgeon has partnered with the NBA’s official marketing partner Jack Daniel’s to auction a custom Air Force 1 for charity.
Motivated by the “elements of Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey whiskey,” The Shoe Surgeon has cooked up a rich brown and black Air Force 1. Constructed using high-end distressed, vachetta tan Horween leathers, the new Shoe Surgeon, Jack Daniel’s and Nike Air Force 1 collaboration employs classic, artisanal manufacturing processes and modern aesthetics to create a sneaker with a commitment to quality in function and form. Most notably, the dark brown distressed leather represents the Jack Daniel’s “barrel-aging” techniques, the black Horween leather embodies the “care and attention” Jack Daniel’s manufacturers use to create their whiskey and the “vachetta tan leather accents” pays tribute to Tennessee Honey.
The Shoe Surgeon has produced only 67 pairs of his Jack Daniel’s-inspired Air Force 1s, and will be auctioning the items on eBay. The models are currently available in size 10, nine, eight, seven, and 11.5 variations. According to an official statement, ”all proceeds support Operation Ride Home, a program helping service members go home for the holidays.”
At the beginning of the month, the Shoe Surgeon also delivered his own spin on the Off-White AJ1.
