Coming off a similar announcement from Bloomberg, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has overcome Bill Gates as the richest man in the world on Forbes’s 32nd Annual World Billionaires List. Bezos’s corporate fortune has risen up to $112 billion USD, the biggest gain in a single year ever.
This tops Gates’s $90 billion USD, who has frequented this list for 18 of the past 24 years. American business investor and philanthropist Warren Buffett took the third spot with a net worth of $84 billion USD. The United States is home to 585 billionaires, the most in any country.
