Nike's Air Max 1 "Habanero Red" Pays Homage to the OG

A spicier shade of red than the classic AM1 model.

Nike extends its Air Max Day 2018 celebration with yet another pristine colorway of the much-beloved Air Max 1 silhouette. Paying homage to the Air Max 1 “White/University Red” model from 1987, this new take on the classic-low top sees a lighter and spicier shade of red embellished on the mudguards, Swooshes, eyelets, and “Nike Air” labels than the inaugural version. The rest of the shoe stays true to the OG variant. It’s important to note, however, that this is a womens-only colorway.

Check out the Air Max 1 “Habanero Red” rendition above and look out for pairs to drop at Nike’s official website and select stockists in the coming weeks. Not long ago, Joshua Vides teamed up with The Shoe Surgeon to craft a hand-painted pair of Air Max 1s.
