'Mario Kart' Is Joining the Monopoly Family
Pass “GO!” and race for the “Grand Prix” card.
Mario Kart is next on Monopoly‘s growing list of themes. The latest twist to the board game follows a Super Mario Bros. edition, which included the famous Italian plumber and additional characters. The game’s traditional features receive an appropriate makeover with Mario Kart tokens, Kart-themed properties and a race triggered each time you pass “GO!.” Players can choose from Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad with Bowser, Donkey Kong and Yoshi expected to be included this fall.
Monopoly’s Mario Kart edition is currently available for $30 USD at select retailers such as GameStop.
