Lorde Performs Frank Ocean’s “Solo” & Unreleased 'Melodrama' Song

Tonight Lorde kicked off her ‘Melodrama’ North American tour. Taking to the stage in Milwaukee, Lorde surprised fans by covering Frank Ocean‘s single “Solo” off of his 2016 hit album Blonde. The songstress also went on to perform a previously unreleased track from Melodrama.

In in interview with The Spinoff, Lorde described how Blonde inspired her album Melodrama. She stated, “In this sort of post-Blonde landscape, we can all sort of do whatever we want in terms of instrumentation. It’s exciting. I can use guitars and I can get a big gnarly Flume beat and throw it under water.”

Lorde is currently touring with Run the Jewels and Tove Styrke. Watch the performance snippets below.
