Instagram Looks to Be Adding Audio & Video Calling Features
Are you ready for it?

Instagram is gearing up to compete against some of Snapchat‘s most popular features: voice and video calling. Uncovered by TechCrunch, the online publication found icons in the Android version of the Instagram application that suggests the company is hard at work on developing this feature.
In the screenshot below, icons for both traditional “calls” along with “video calls” can be found, which TechCruch believes IG will implement into its Direct messaging system. This isn’t the first time these clues have popped up, in a recent report, it seemingly showed the features in testing, though most likely within the company only.
It’s unknown when the launch will happen, but given the icons are in the public version of the application, expect it to drop sometime soon. Keep it locked to HYPEBEAST for further developments. In other related news, Instagram now has screenshot alerts for stories.
Instagram video chat is also coming to iOS (but it's clearly not ready just yet) https://t.co/JagC5ChC99 pic.twitter.com/vZjtrCtWwF
