Lorde Reveals How Frank Ocean Influenced Her Album 'Melodrama'
Specifically on the song “The Louvre.”
Last week, Lorde dropped her brand new album, Melodrama. Following the release, the songstress sat down with New Zealand’s The Spinoff for an interview. Lorde broke down every song from the album and even spoke about how Frank Ocean influenced the project’s making.
“It’s just like this big dumb joy and it’s intense – and I feel like the instrumentation in that song kind of helped it get there,” Lorde said on her song “The Louvre.” “In this sort of post-Blonde landscape, we can all sort of do whatever we want in terms of instrumentation.”
