Kendrick Lamar May Have Just Announced His Fourth Album
Through a cryptic message.
Kendrick Lamar rarely posts to social media, so when the rapper posted a cryptic “IV” earlier today on his Instagram account, fans instantly took notice. While no caption accompanied the post, fans are already speculating that this is the beginning of the rollout for his fourth studio album. Lamar’s debut Section.80 came out in 2011, followed by good kid, m.A.A.d City in 2012, and To Pimp a Butterfly in 2015. Last year’s untitled unmastered. was also a full-length effort, but was billed by the rapper as a collection of studio sessions serving as a companion to To Pimp a Butterfly.
Lamer opened up in a recent interview with T Magazine stating his next project is “very urgent” and that his focus has shifted, “I think now, how wayward things have gone within the past few months, my focus is ultimately going back to my community and the other communities around the world where they’re doing the groundwork.” Stay tuned for further developments on the upcoming project.
Kendrick will be headlining Coachella this April, and if you’ve missed it, Kendrick Lamar covers Drake and Rihanna hits in this hilarious infomercial.
