Back in September, Kanye West confirmed that he has a collaborative album with Drake in the works. ‘Ye revealed to Vogue in an interview that he and Drake are “working on a bunch of music together” and “having fun going into the studio.” “We’re working on an album,” Ye specified, exclaiming that there are some exciting things “coming up soon.” Six months later, and neither more details nor music from the collaborative effort have surfaced. With Yeezy having undergone a few complications since, it’s uncertain whether or not the album will actualize. Luckily for all Papi and West fans, the two rap demigods finally paired up once and for all on the Toronto rapper’s More Life track, “Glow.” Although “Glow” took about 18 writers (including Drizzy and ‘Ye) to make, it is officially the first song the OVO and the G.O.O.D. Music bosses are on together without the involvement of other artists. The reviews on the song have been mixed; some feel that both gave a commendable performance while others felt “Glow” was not one of the standouts on More Life. Nevertheless, having Drizzy and Kanye on the same track is big news regardless of how good the song is.

In celebration of the release of “Glow,” we’ve put together a list of 30 other notable music pairings (solo and/or group) that happened in 2017 — from Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti, to Frank Ocean and Migos, to 6LACK and Jhene Aiko, to Future and The Weeknd. Since it was recently announced that ZAYN & PARTNEXTDOOR teamed up for “Still Got Time” and that Lil Wayne & Nicki Minaj reunited again for the third time this year for the David Guetta-produced “Light My Body Up,” there is no better time than now to reflect on the year’s best musical pairings. Check out what we’ve gathered below and let us know if we’re missing out on any notable ones.

6LACK & Jhene Aiko – “First F*ck”

Currently on tour with The Weeknd, 6LACK is one of the biggest up-and-comers of 2017. Known best for his track “PRBLMS,” the Atlanta crooner linked with Jhené Aiko for the moody lovemaking single “First F*ck.”

Frank Ocean had one of the biggest records last year with Blonde; Migos had one of the biggest ones this year with CULTURE. Calvin Harris blended both artists flawlessly on his refreshingly smooth single, “Slide.”

Future & The Weeknd – “Comin Out Strong”

“Comin Out Strong” is Future’s emotive R&B-tinged single off of his chart-topping album HNDRXX. The club-appropriate, Detail-produced track finds the two taking turns imitating each other’s flows and melodies.

GHOSTEMANE & Fat Nick – “Sea Sick”

Fat Nick dropped a track featuring up-and-comer GHOSTEMANE called “Sea Sick” not too long ago. Produced by Flexatelli, it’ll definitely be played a lot during the trio’s ‘Drop Out Of School’ tour.

Ghostface Killah & Raekwon – “This Is What It Comes Too”

Earlier this week, Raekwon recruited fellow Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah for a remix of his song “This Is What It Comes Too.” The track comes in anticipation of his seventh solo album, The Wild.

Gucci Mane & Chief Keef – “Jet Li”

An unreleased Chief Keef and Gucci Mane song titled “Jet Li” surfaced earlier this month. Recorded back in 2013, the Sosa-Guwop collab is a trap gem about fast cars, big guns and kicking girls out like “Jet Li.”

Kodak Black & A Boogie wit da Hoodie – “Drowning”

Kodak Black linked up with one of the hottest up-and-comers, A Boogie, for this thumper. Originally hitting the webs as “Water,” the track was eventually removed until it officially resurfaced due to copyright claims.

LiL PEEP & Gab3 – “Hollywood Dreaming”

GOTHBOICLIQUE’s star child LiL PEEP teamed up with Gab3, one-half of music-filmography duo UZi, for “Hollywood Dreaming.” Peep and Gab3’s raw, melodic delivery makes this one of our favorite songs.

Lil Peep & Lil Tracy – “WitchBlades”

LiL PEEP and the other GOTHBOICLIQUE star member Lil Tracy dropped Castles II in February, and “WitchBlades” is a highlight track from the joint rap-meets-emo EP.

Lil Pump & Smokepurpp – “Movin”

Buzzing Florida duo Lil Pump and Smokepurpp blew the Internet up with “Movin,” produced by Denzel Curry and Ronny J. Pump’s buzz is so promising that even Lil Uzi Vert gave him a shoutout.

Lil Uzi Vert & Playboi Carti – “Woke Up Like This”

Playboi Carti finally dropped two singles featuring Lil Uzi Vert, “Lookin” and “Woke Up Like This,” after a long period of time without any updates. “Woke Up Like This” happens to be the catchier song.

Lil Wayne & Nicki Minaj – “Changed It”

After spending a week in Paris working at fashion shows and neglecting Remy Ma’s disses, Nicki Minaj finally drops three new singles for her fans: “Regret In Your Tears,” “No Frauds” and “Change It.”

Lil Yachty & Pollari – “Diamonds”

Late February, Lil Yachty and fellow SoundCloud champion Pollari linked up for a song titled “Diamonds.” The melodic banger is produced by Danny Wolf and David Morse.

Lil Yachty & Tee Grizzley – “From The D to the A”

Yachty linked up with Detroit’s bourgeoning star Tee Grizzly for a Detroit-Atlanta anthem. Both artists deliver hard-hitting rhymes on the piano-laced track.

MADEINTYO & Smokepurpp – “Houdini”

“Houdini,” produced by Gnealz and Bighead, is SmokePurrp’s first collaboration track with MADEINTYO. The collab is presumably off Smoke’s upcoming project, dropping later this year.

Mick Jenkins & GoldLink – “Pressed For Time”

Mick Jenkins linked up with his fellow XXL Freshmen 2015 alumni Goldlink for “Pressed For Time (Cross My Mind),” produced by Chicago beatmakers Monte Booker and THEMpeople.

Migos & Dipset – “D’s Up”

Juelz Santana reconnected with his Diplomats cohort Jim Jones as well as Migos for his latest single “D’s Up.” It’s the closest thing we have to a Dipset reunion yet.

Mr. Carmack & Tennyson – “Tuesday”

Red Bull teamed up with brother-sister duo Tennyson and production wizard Mr. Carmack for three tracks. “Tuesday” is by far the smoothest joint of them.

PARTYNEXTDOOR & Nicki Minaj – “Run Up”

Major Lazer released a grand single in January featuring PARTYNEXTDOOR and Nicki Minaj titled “Run Up.” The song is a caribbean-styled jam that finds both artists going in.

Pouya & GHOSTEMANE – “1000 Rounds”

Pouya linked up with fellow Floridian GHOSTEMANE for a banger titled “1000 Rounds.” Produced by Flexatelli, the track is yet another bass-heavy hard-hitter.

Pressa & Tory Lanez – “Oh My”

Tory Lanez teamed up with up-and-coming Jane and Finch rapper Pressa for one of his latest singles, “Oh My.” The two Canadians trade infectious melodies over a thumping instrumental.

Rae Sremmurd & Chief Keef – “Come Down”

Mike WiLL Made-It finally put Chief Keef and Rae Sremmurd together for the same track for one of his many Ransom 2 singles. Both parties deliver catchy lines over Mike’s production.

Sango & Monte Booker – “Bem-estar”

Monte Booker is Soulection’s most promising “new” producer, and he worked with Sango on the latter’s song “Bem-estar,” which is off of the Brazilian beatmaker’s latest project.

Sean Kingston & Vybez Kartel – “Chance”

Sean Kingston’s Made In Jamaica EP should be arriving soon, and the project is led by “Chance,” which features incarcerated Jamaican dancehall legend, Vybz Cartel.

Syd & 6LACK – “Over”

6LACK is one of the few feature’s on Syd’s debut solo album, “Fin.” In the track “Over,” the two singers exchange infectious, emotive melodies over some masterful production.

The Weeknd & NAV – “Some Way”

“Some Way” is a hit song by The Weeknd and his XO protege NAV. NAV is a up-and-coming artist from Toronto that is making a lot of noise for his unique work.

Thundercat & Pharrell – “The Turn Down”

“The Turn Down” is a collaborative work between Thundercat, Pharrell and Flying Lotus. Off of Thundercat’s latest album Drunk, it is a soulful, funky jam with vintage vibes.
