Joey Bada$$ Might Drop Two Albums & Work with Dr. Dre This Year
2016 might be Joey’s best year yet.
Joey Bada$$ has some huge plans for 2016. Since Ebro announced Joey’s next studio album on his Beats 1 program, the always-productive NYC emcee has been on a promotional blitz in support of his movement. The past month alone has yielded two new singles from the Pro Era rapper — “Ready” and “Brooklyn’s Own.” Now, in a new interview with DJ Enuff’s for the Heavy Hitters Shade 45 show, Joey Bada$$ is opening up on even more new plans for this year. Revealing that he currently has about “80 tracks” in his vault, Joey tells Enuff, “I may just drop an album this summer. I may drop another in December.” He also speaks on a huge studio session he hopes to lock in next month. “I heard we were supposed to be working with Dre soon, so I don’t want to f*ck up the sh*ts, so hopefully you know what I am saying, I’ma put it out there just so it could be stronger,” Joey says. You can check out the entire interview — and a freestyle over A Tribe Called Quest’s “Award Tour” — above.
