Acura Debuts Its Track-Ready Take on the NSX
Introducing the NSX GT3.

As Jay Leno already proved, the 2017 Acura NSX is more than ready for the road. But now the supercar is ready for the track as well with the introduction of a brand new take on the vehicle: the NSX GT3. Debuting in the Big Apple at this year’s New York Auto Show, the GT3 rendition echoes the look of the original (albeit with a more track-ready paint scheme, body kit and massive rear wing), but features a bevy of differences inside and under the hood. As you might expect, the car’s usual interior has been completely gutted in favor of a more racing-worthy make-up — like roll bars — while ditching the road-ready NSX’s all-wheel drive system. The twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 is also tweaked slightly, eschewing electronic boost as its paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox in place of the original nine-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Since it’s designed with FIA GT3 regulations in mind, you can expect to see the car hit the likes of the Pirelli World Challenge and Blancpain Endurance Series in the future.
