Not one to shy away from publicly showing huge amounts of love to his son Asahd, DJ Khaled has just shared a personal open letter he recently wrote to him, accompanied by personal clips of the young icon. In the heartfelt video above, DJ Khaled explains the meaning behind his upcoming album Father of Asahd.

Khaled begins his letter of fatherhood and love with “I have an important message for you. It’s a message about the master key of master keys. I’m talking about love. Love turns bad to good. Dark to light. Losing to winning. Love can change everything. It’s changed me.” Khaled finishes the video by explaining, “My whole life, I thought our parents give us our names. Mine called me Khaled. But here’s a major key: Our children give us the ultimate name. The greatest title. The highest honor. My son has given me my new name: Father of Asahd.”

Father of Asahd, which is executively produced by the 17-month-old Asahd, is slated for a summer release. The album’s first single “Top Off” features JAY-Z, Future and Beyoncé. Stream the single below.

In related news, Jordan Brand partnered with Asahd for a new collection.
