R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe has been living the low key life ever since disbanding with R.E.M. back in 2011. But all that’s starting to change this year as the legendary singer is set to embark on a world tour and to starts things proper, he paid tribute to the late great David Bowie in a rare television solo performance of David Bowie’s “Man Who Sold The World” on The Tonight Show. With piano backing from composer Paul Cantelon, Stipe performed the infamous title track to Bowie’s 1970 debut. Replay the stunning performance above.
