On the eve of the highly-anticipated New York International Auto Show, some exciting news recently broke out of the MINI camp, with the announcement of a fully electric Classic MINI. The vehicle signifies a move towards electro-mobility, while showcasing the automaker’s resounding commitment to advanced technological practices.
Although the tech previously hit the MINI Cooper back in 2008 via the MINI E and again last year with the MINI Electric Concept, the newest rendition will be the manufacturer’s first mass-produced electric drive model — scheduled to make its debut sometime in 2019. The NYC-based motoring convention will spotlight this retro red model, which comes complete with the MINI Electric logo placed at the front, rear, and wheel hubs, in addition to its decorative silver roof and stripe detail that flows from the bonnet to the trunk.
In case you missed it, Karlmann King is the world’s most expensive SUV at $2.2 Million USD.
