Canadian Label AD IDEM Updates Workwear Silhouettes for Debut Capsule
“DO IT IN THE DARK.”

For its debut collection, Montreal-based label AD IDEM took inspiration from two different sources with the designer’s looking to workwear silhouettes and drawing inspiration from their own experiences. The collection is titled “DO IT IN THE DARK,” a reference to the times the duo behind the brand found themselves as outsiders at fashion events they shouldn’t have been at. This led to them learning about everything from mannerisms and how to act in these spaces to lessons about design.
The unisex collection itself is inspired by traditional workwear, with fabrics coming from Japan and Europe. Key pieces in the inaugural collection include camp shirts in a range of materials and tones, as well as checked trousers and patchwork chore jackets. Elsewhere, the drop encompasses a selection of graphic T-shirts featuring different prints and the collection’s name. The full “DO IT IN THE DARK” collection is set to drop via the AD IDEM web store on March 24.
