Famed designer Tom Ford recently took to the iconic Park Avenue Armory to kick off New York Fashion Week: Men’s with his Fall/Winter 2018 collection. In addition to showing off his latest designs, the Texas-born designer-turned-director also used his runway to debut a new undergarment and timepiece line.

The scent of Ford’s new Tobacco-Vanille fragrance set the mood as the star-studded audience got seated for the show. Models emerged on the runway, decked in playfully sophisticated collection pieces, as a soundtrack featuring tunes by Sting, Lana Del Rey and more fueled the atmosphere.

Ford’s impeccable suiting served as the base of the collection, which was accented by sportswear references and an assortment of standout accessories. Aside from monochromatic and tiger camo looks, snakeskin patterns offered in a series of colors were used heavily in the seasonal range, while exaggerated sunglasses, luxe leather accessories and contemporary footwear elevated styles that captivated the crowd. Standout pieces include a snakeskin-patterned puffer, tiger camo blazer and flight cargo trousers. But the hybrid sneaker-loafer complete with front tassels and a molded sporty sole indicated a new direction for the ever-popular athleisure trend.

Tom Ford concluded his Fall/Winter 2018 presentation by sending his models out in nothing but statement underwear and woolen socks to preview his new undergarment line.
