The Weeknd served as the musical guest on tonight’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. And he had a prominent guest on stage, Lauryn Hill, who assisted him in performing “In the Night” off of last year’s Beauty Behind the Madness. The duo was originally rumored to perform together at the Grammy Awards earlier this week but was never officially confirmed by Hill’s camp. However, the event has been promoted without being certain. This led Ms. Hill to cancel the performance altogether. In related news, The Weeknd continues his TV trek this month with a gig at the upcoming Oscars. He’s also in the race for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards for “Earned It” from Fifty Shades of Grey.
