A Nod To Baseball Heritage With Levi's Latest Collection
Levi’s once had their own baseball team called “Elesco.”
The age-old denim brand Levi’s, formally Levi Strauss & Co. has had its hand in baseball since the 1880’s, with even its own company baseball team dubbed “Elesco” — a phonetic pronunciation of “L. S. Co.” With its history firmly rooted in the renown American past time, Levi’s has decided to pay homage to the sport by releasing a baseball-inspired capsule collection for its Spring/Summer 2016 season. Aptly titled “Home Run,” the collection ranges from washed denim jackets and flapper shirts to crew sweatshirts and a number of the brand’s classic Jean fits. With no news on the impending drop yet, be sure to keep watch for the collection to hit select retailers soon.
