Studio Ghibli & ANOFUKU Come Together For a New Embroidery Collaboration

Anofuku and acclaimed Japanese animation film studio Studio Ghibli have come together to produce new clothing using iconic Ghibli characters. Designed in part by Kensuke Kanda and Kunihiko Morinaga, the collaborative endeavor will create garments for all ages, with its first collection including a hand-knitting service that allows folks to embroider used sweaters with Ghibli imagery.
Anofuku has also created a promotional film that uses 200 of its embroidered sweaters to create a stop-motion animation of My Neighbor Totoro. Check out the visuals above, purchase the products on Ghibli’s webstore, and share your thoughts below.
