’90s hip-hop and culture became a big topic in the past two years, especially after Vince Staples said it was overrated and rappers like Lil Yachty and Lil Uzi Vert denounced “old head” rap music. While it does seem like there is a divide between the new and old schools of hip-hop, there are a few new wave rappers who know quite a bit about hip-hop history.
Young M.A. is one of these ’90s babies who are well-informed about ’90s hip-hop. In a new USA network-presented series produced by Genius, Redman was invited to test the “Ooouuu” rapper on her ’90s rap knowledge.
