Lonzo Ball Says College Athletes Are Secretly Being Paid
“Everybody knows.”

Lonzo Ball revealed on Friday that he believes college athletes should be getting paid for their service, and that it’s already happening. “All the money they generate for the programs & stuff, it’s kind of an unfair system.” he tells the reporter. “Everybody knows everybody’s getting paid & that’s how it is. Everybody’s getting paid anyway. You might as well make it legal. That’s how I feel.”
However, the Lakers player denied that he was receiving payments when he played for the UCLA Bruins. “My dad’s not big on that,” he clarified. “Just kinda focused on going there and getting out.”
His comments come on the heels of a Yahoo! report that stated ex-NBA agent Andy Miller gave payments to potential clients via college coaches. Two of those players who allegedly got these payments were 2017 first pick Markelle Fultz, and Ball’s teammate Kyle Kuzma.
