Olderbrother Issues Mushroom-Dyed Cozywear for Fall/Winter 2018
“Staycation” is as comfy as it sounds.
Portland ethical fashion label Olderbrother follows up on its easygoing Spring/Summer 2018 range with a new Fall/Winter 2018 collection, dubbed “Staycation.” Building upon the relaxed cuts of recent goods, a small variety of staple pieces are reworked with the brand’s signature effortless style and classic silhouettes, living up to the loungy implications of the collection’s title.
Recent collections featured dyes from flowers and coffee, while the new array centers around colors sourced from richly-hued reishi and chaga mushrooms. The collection updates timeless essentials like striped shirts, hoodies and button-up shirts with Olderbrother’s preferred boxy cuts and casual layering, while relaxed blazers and wide trousers expand the framework established by the versatile layering pieces. The brand’s outerwear, key items for the laid-back looks, further develops the staples-with-a-twist theme, offering flowing, noragi-like cardigans, chore jackets with curved pockets, and trucker jackets with wide sleeves and organic fleece lining.
