Maison Margiela's Paint-Splattered Sockrunner Is Now Available
A colorful competitor to other similar silhouettes.
Following a look at Maison Margiela’s Security sneaker, the luxury line has recently dove into the knitted runner category. The fashion house’s latest footwear installment identifies as the “Painter Sockrunner” and can be considered a competitor silhouette to similar models such as Balenciaga’s Speed Trainer. Its chunky Gommus® sole unit supports a black knitted upper that’s finished off with colorful paint splatters applied from its midfoot to the toebox.
Priced at $690 USD, Maison Margiela’s Painter Sockrunner is currently available at select retailers such as END.
