A new instalment to the spoof martial arts film.
Back in 2015, 1980s-inspired spoof short film Kung Fury made the unexpected journey from kingstarter to the Cannes Film Festival. The movie, which is an homage to martial art films, is now rumored to be getting a feature-length sequel, with Michael Fassbender set to star in the film.
As well as Fassbender, the new Kung Fury is set to feature David Sandberg, creator and star of the original, as the titular hero, while David Hasselhoff is also set to return after his appearance in the short film. Although details are scarce, we do know that the sequel is set to take place in 1985 Miami, filming will begin this summer and it will be produced by the team behind IT.
