Could Tommy Wiseau Be the Next Joker?
Oh, hi Batman.
Joaquin Phoenix might have some competition for the role of The Joker, as Tommy Wiseau recently made his bid to play the Batman villain. Looking for the starring role in the upcoming Joker Origins film, The Room star expressed his interest by simply tweeting director Todd Phillips, “DM me.”
Following the success of The Disaster Artist, fans have already begun creating mockups of Wiseau playing The Joker. One dedicated fan even took the time to splice scenes from The Room and The Dark Knight into one “Wiseau serious?” fan trailer.
Although Phillips has not replied to the bid for the role, Tommy Wiseau is set to release Best F(r)iends a film written by and co-starring Greg Sestero later this year.
For more entertainment news, DC recently revealed plans to release a New Super-Man and the Justice League of China comic.
