Architecture firm Marià Castelló Martínez were the creatives behind this picture-perfect home based in Spain’s Platja de Migjorn area. Based on the island of Formentera, this home was given a brief to be modern and sleek while still respecting the environment. The scenic location has very few high buildings, so the firm was told to avoid creating a site that was overly tall.
To pay respect to the nearby surroundings, the building uses a white exterior with cross-laminated wood panels. On the interior the ground floor uses brick walls on two sides of building, while using the aforementioned wood panels elsewhere throughout the house. The resulting space is a home that blends seamlessly into the landscape, which you can see more of by looking through the gallery above.
