Jacquemus Is Launching a Men's Clothing Line
Coming later this year.

After stating that he had a “new job” and “something very special” to announce earlier this month, Jacquemus founder and creative director Simon Porte Jacquemus has revealed plans for a menswear line. The move was announced when the designer came out at the end of the brand’s Fall/Winter 2018 show at Paris Fashion Week wearing a “New job L’Homme Jacquemus” sweatshirt.
Telling Vogue about the new venture — and the way he announced it — Jacquemus said “there were a lot of rumors, that I was going to CÉLINE, that I was going to Versace. Everyone thought I was going to another house but I’m staying at my own. You can have a new job even if it’s at your own house.” Concrete details about the new line are still vague, although it is set to be officially unveiled at some point later this year. Jacquemus did give some more clues about what to expect from his debut menswear collection: “I don’t want to do the men’s exactly like the women’s. Everything comes from the heart with me, so I am going to discover myself as I design it.”
