IKEA along with audio equipment specialists, Teenage Engineering, is in the midst of creating a new line of products aimed to help party hosts throw memorable music events. Dubbed FREKVENS, the boldly-hued instruments, which looks to include speakers, LED box and a spotlight are final prototypes to be shown this week at Diseño Democrático in Spain — a grand event where the public can meet the creators behind IKEA products.
IKEA Today recently hit up Instagram to tease some early images of the forthcoming collection. According to a report from Engadget, the collaborative range will also include an electronic choir, vinyl player, party lighting and more. The FREKVENS line, however, won’t officially be released until February of next year.
In other design news, the world’s most popular mid-century designs are relaunching.
