Coutié & Vans Release a Limited Old Skool "Post Mortem" Silhouette
All black uppers with red accents.




German retailer Coutié teamed up with Vans on a special pair of Old Skools designed with the words “Post Mortem.”
The collaborative offering sees the classic low-top adorned in a black colorway alongside red detailing on the outsoles and heel tags. “Post Mortem” text is embellished on the lateral sides, front portions and toe boxes in red as well. The most eye-catching detail goes to the heel cap sections that are embellished with a visual of a white dead tree with a Coutié box logo overlaid. To top it all off, the retailer equips the shoe with crisp white laces for added contrast.
These limited Old Skools are a part of a new capsule collection created by Coutié. “Post-mortem is Latin and stands for the time that has elapsed since a person has died, usually used as a term in medicine or criminology. With our ‘Post Mortem’ Capsule Collection we are now transferring the topic to climate change and its impacts on our environment,” said the brand in a statement.
