Bon Iver Debuts a Previously Unreleased Track, "Hayward, WI"
Recorded 10 years ago.
With Bon Iver‘s first studio album, For Emma, Forever Ago turning 10 this week, Justin Vernon and his bandmates commemorated the anniversary with a special tribute during a show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin over the weekend. During its set, the band not only performed a medley of songs from their latest 22, A Million album, but also performed its entire For Emma, Forever Ago album. Fans in attendance heard the beloved Wisconsin rockers performing not only album staples like “Blindsided” and “Skinny Love,” but also debuting a previously unreleased song that was recorded during their For Emma, Forever Ago studio sessions back in 2007 called “Hayward, WI.”
Luckily, for those who weren’t in attendance, a fan-captured clip has now made its way onto the internet where you can hear them perform the unreleased track. Watch and listen above, while the band’s reissue of For Emma, Forever Ago that was announced back in November has released in CD and vinyl formats as of this week.
You can also catch them at Bonnaroo 2018 this year where they’ll be headlining alongside Eminem, Future, and The Killers.
