Hip-hop history found in the archive.

Although now best known for industry heavyweights Lil Wayne, Drake and Nicki Minaj, Cash Money Records dates all the way back to 1991 and some of the gems from its 26-year history are now about to be discovered. Set up by prolific New Orleans rapper Birdman and his brother, the hip-hop label has seen the likes of U.N.L.V., Hot Boys, B.G, Big Tymers, and Juvenile grace its roster over the years and a recent Instagram post by Birdman (see below) has revealed his plans to raid the vaults and put out some of the label’s long-lost tracks. Birdman has also been active on Instagram recently teasing the forthcoming Rich Gang 2 collab with Young Thug, which drops on February 18.
