During New York Fashion Week: Men’s, HYPEBEAST got an exclusive backstage look at STAMPD’s 2017 fall/winter runway show titled “Asphalt Wave”. Chris Stamp’s latest collection showcased his love for early ‘00 rap and hip-hop through the brand’s signature minimalist and street-savvy designs — all elevated with the use of luxe materials and graphic designs. The LA-based label has made fans out of Kanye West and Justin Bieber, so it’s no wonder the likes of Ja Rule and Fabolous were found in the crowd.

Of course the staff got in on the fun as well, as each wore a special matching “Asphalt Wave” team trench. Stamp kept the runway show geared towards a more laid-back vibe than a traditional runway show as guests were invited to walk around as the models stood like mannequins. Get the behind-the-scenes looks above and check out more of our New York Fashion Week: Men’s coverage here.
