After much speculation regarding how Beyonce’s recently-announced pregnancy would impact her status as a Coachella 2017 headliner, we now have some concrete clarification. As revealed in a new, official statement shared with The Associated Press, Beyonce has been forced to pull out from the list of performers at this year’s festival. Citing medical concerns, Beyonce’s representatives at Parkwood Entertainment and Coachella organizer Goldenvoice have broken down the news with the following announcement:

Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival … However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.

Even though Beyonce will no longer be sharing the stage at Indio’s Empire Polo Club this year, ticketholders can still expect to experience live performances from Kendrick Lamar, Travi$ Scott, The xx, Future, Bon Iver, ScHoolboy Q, Gucci Mane and many more.
