Honor Announces Collaborative "Moschino Edition" View 20 Smartphone
A joint effort with the playful Italian fashion house.
Huawei Group’s Honor imprint has revealed its latest smartphone: the View 20. Along with a bevy of technical improvements over the View 10, Honor is poised to make a splash with a flashy collaboration featuring Italian fashion house Moschino.
Boasting the world’s first rear 48MP and 3D camera system, along with a front-facing 25MP camera, the View 20 lives up to its name with a striking 91.8% body-to-screen ration aided by a notchless front display. The understated design makes it an easy partner for Moschino’s signature outré aesthetic, which coats the phone in a striking red hue. The collaboration is timely: Moschino reported a stunning 20% growth in global sales earlier this year — bolstered extensively by China, which accounted for a 45.9% rise, or 22.5% of Moschino’s total revenue. Coupled with a blockbuster H&M collaboration, the Jeremy Scott-headed house has enjoyed a highly successful 2018.
The View 20 will launch in China on December 28 before making its global debut on January 22 via the Honor website and specialty retailers.
Meanwhile, Apple recently announced a planned software update to combat its ban in China.
