Domo Genesis Enlists Buddy for "Consecutive Normal Punches"
A new single in support of his upcoming EP.
This Friday, December 7, Domo Genesis plans to release his next major studio project, Facade Records. An EP effort, Facade Records is set to serve as the follow-up to last year’s Red Corolla tape and will give listeners six new songs, including collaborations with Cozz, Buddy, IDK and Chip Tha Ripper. To support the drop, the California rapper is releasing its Buddy-assisted cut, “Consecutive Normal Punches,” as its new single.
“That record came together so funny,” Domo Genesis tells Zane Lowe, breaking down his latest record for Beats 1. “That day, I think Buddy had to go to an appointment at the DMV. He had his number with him, he was like, ‘Yo, let’s do something real quick before I have to run back to the DMV.’He took his number. He said the number was, I think like, 120. They were at 92 when he left, so he was like, ‘I got roughly an hour to get it cracking.’ We end up making that track in that hour.” Most importantly: Buddy made his DMV appointment on time.
You can check out Domo Genesis and Buddy’s “Consecutive Normal Punches” above, and check back tonight — midnight EST — for a full stream of the Facade Records EP.
Back in October, Domo Genesis appeared on Remy Banks’ Champ Hoody Music Ep. 2 project.
