Chance the Rapper Says 'Chiraq' Receives "Zero Love" from Chicago
Chance the Rapper is never afraid to give his opinion.

Chance the Rapper wasn’t exaxtly gushing over the recent Spike Lee film. The Surf rapper was adamant about the lack of support for the film in the city it’s centered on, with Chance himself appearing to believe the film to be a rather toxic, “destructive” piece of work. Taking to Twitter, Chance the Rapper expressed his critical assesment of Chiraq with the following round of shots:
Let me be the one from Chicago to personally tell you we not supporting this film out here

That shit get ZERO love out here. Shit is goofy and it’s a bunch of ppl from NOT around here telling u to support that shit ??????

The people that made that shit didn’t do so to “Save Lives”. It’s exploitive and problematic

Also the idea that women abstaining from sex would stop murders is offensive and a slap in the face to any mother that lost a child here

You don’t do any work with the children of Chicago, You don’t live here, you’ve never watched someone die here. Don’t tell me to be calm

So, maybe Spike Lee and Chance won’t be best of friends anytime soon. Considering his outspokennness, we wouldn’t be surprised if Chance had even more to get off his chest as the day progresses.
