Red Dead Redemption 2‘s online multiplayer mode is officially going live this month. Dubbed Red Dead online, players will have the option of taking part in the online update with friends or on their own in cooperative missions and explorations. Customizable characters will be able to join posses and create their own stories with the options of fishing, hunting, battling rival gangs and much more. Rockstar Games recounts its online mode as “an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways.”
The following is the rollout schedule for the Red Dead Redemption 2 Online Multiplayer Beta program:
- Tuesday, November 27: All Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition owners. Please note, players who purchased the physical Ultimate Edition must redeem the Ultimate Edition code in the packaging to be eligible.
- Wednesday, November 28: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on October 26th according to our data.
- Thursday, November 29: All players who played Red Dead Redemption 2 between October 26th to October 29th according to our data.
- Friday, November 30: All players who own Red Dead Redemption 2.
