Dubbed the Kyrie 5 “Ikhet,” Concepts’ creative director – Deon Point – snags inspiration from the all-seeing eye in Irving’s hand tattoo and the backstory of Egypt’s ancient pyramids. The sneaker’s sand-colored upper rests atop a purple sole unit which mirrors the color of the sunset reflecting off of the pyramids. In addition, a contrasting red tongue pays homage to the Sphinx’s nose prior to its degradation. Subtle branding accents are spread throughout the sneaker such as Concepts’ logo on the right sneaker’s overlay with Kyrie Irving’s signature on the left. Lastly, another Concepts hit is found on the left tongue in silver with Kyrie’s signature logo on the right.
The Concepts x Nike Kyrie 5 “Ikhet” arrives at select Nike Basketball retailers, Cncpts.com and Nike.com on December 26. In related news, you can take a look at Irving’s latest Nike spot which co-stars his father.
