Nas releases NASIR – The Film, a new 16-minute short film soundtracked by the superstar’s most recent album of the same name. Each track off NASIR received visuals, making the film just an extended music video. The short film is written and directed by Rohan Blair-Mangat (who previously did JAY-Z’s video for the 4:443 cut “Bam”). In a4ddition to Nas himself, NASIR – The Film stars Slick Rick, Demarius Mack, among others.
The short film touches on the many social issues currently and historically ingrained into his local community of Queens, New York, such as racism and police brutality. Watch the full thing below.
In other news, Nas will be featured on the new Creed II soundtrack, which is being executive produce by Mike WiLL Made-It.
