Rapper Goldlink was one of the notable guests who attended the recent Guggenheim International Gala Pre-Party which was held Wednesday, November 14 (the event took place for over two days). The occasion was presented in conjunction with Dior and R&B singer-songwriter Jorja Smith was the performer for the celebratory evening. ‘Link was also joined by Vic Mensa, Winnie Harlow, Princess Olympia of Greece, Hannah Bronfman and more as some of the event’s special attendees.

As for Goldlink, the Dior co-signed artist also gave some inside tidbits on his personal style and grooming routine for the night. The 25-year-old rapper wore a silver metallic vintage Dior Homme shirt, vintage Dior velvet trousers and an SS19 belt from the luxe brand as well. When asked about his personal style, ‘Link responded that it’s (his style), “Unique yet very CEO. I’m very simply complex.” He continues that wearing Dior, “Coexists easily with the simplicity I strive for everyday.”

In preparation for the evening, Goldlink’s grooming routine consisted of using his favorites — Dior’s Hydra Life Fresh Hydration Sorbet Crème and Sauvage Eau de Parfum. “I pray then shower and depending on what days, I apply a face mask (either peel off or a clay mask),” Goldlink says describing his daily routine. “Then I tone, apply a serum, eye gel, then finish with moisturizers.”

The DMV rapper is also considered one of the music industry’s most stylish individuals and has some thoughts about today’s current fashion affairs. “I would change the mainstream brands in power on a lower tier,” he says. “There’s so much more to offer the average people and the kids than what we show them, so I would change the exchange of information.” As for mentally preparing himself for a big night like the Guggenheim Gala, “I get the chills every time,” he says. “I always want to make sure I present myself and my brand with class.”
