'Game of Thrones' Launches 8 Scotch Whiskies for Final Season
Paying tribute to the Houses of Westeros and The Night’s Watch.
While we await Game of Thrones‘s eighth and final season to air, the hit HBO series has launched 8 bottles of single malt scotch whisky, each paying homage to one of the Houses of Westeros or The Night’s Watch.
The bottles are decorated with their respective Westeros House crests, while The Night’s Watch edition arrives in a black bottle. Each scotch whisky is crafted by a respected Scottish distillery whose story is paired that of a Westeros House. For example, Carhu distillery is paired with House Targaryen for its strong female leadership, whereas Oban distillery is matched with The Night’s Watch as both are situated at a steep cliff overlooking a frontier.
The other pairings are Royal Lochnagar for House Baratheon, Dalwhinnie for House Stark, Lagavulin for House Lannister, The Singleton of Glendullan for House Tully, Talisker for House Greyjoy, and Clynelish for House Tyrell.
All eight Game of Thrones scotch whiskies are available now at Drizly with prices ranging from $30 USD to $150 USD. There’s also, of course, the Johnnie Walker “White Walker” whisky.
