'Dragon Ball Super: Broly' New Trailer Finally Reveals Gogeta
Alongside a new redesign for the fusion.
After an abundance of rumors and speculation, a new clip of the upcoming Dragon Ball Super: Broly film confirms that Gogeta will make an appearance, alongside a completely redesigned look for the character.
The footage above showcases Gogeta in his base form before springing into action, showcasing the most fluid animation we’ve seen from the film thus far. He then seamlessly transforms into a Super Saiyan before showing off his Super Saiyan Blue capabilities. Finally, we see the warrior attack the over-sized Broly, utilizing a technique similar to Goku‘s Ultra Instinct.
Gogeta is the direct result of Goku and Vegeta performing the Fusion Dance, as briefly seen in the film Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. Unlike Vegeto, this fusion form does not utilize Potara Earrings, instead relying on the same technique used by Goten and Trunks to create Gotenks. Gogeta’s facial features have been made to look more like Vegeta, but with Goku’s distinct eyes and bangs.
Check out the video above and catch the film when it hits Japan theaters December 14 as well as the U.S. and Canada on January 16, 2019.
In related news, Japan is airing a one-hour Dragon Ball Super: Broly special.
