To commemorate ten years of operation, Spotify has compiled a list of the platform’s most-streamed artists, songs and albums.
When it comes to artists, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Eminem, The Weeknd and Rihanna lead the way (in that order). Concerning songs, Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You” holds the top spot, while Drake’s “One Dance,” The Chainsmokers and Halsey’s “Closer,” Post Malone and 21 Savage’s “Rockstar” and Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” round out the other slots in the top five list. Lastly, regarding albums, Ed Sheeran’s ÷, Justin Bieber’s Purpose, Drake’s Views, Ed Sheeran’s X and Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys fill the rankings (in that order). Notably, these figures represent a global breakdown and are not limited to any specific regional market.
