Rapsody, Kendrick Lamar & Lance Skiiwalker's "Power" Music Video
A pastor, babies, a Bernie Sanders mask and more.
RocNation drops an energetic music video befitting of Rapsody‘s new single, “Power.” The Cam Be-directed clip forgoes the bombast of big-budget productions for a more distinct look at the musicians and their home turf.
Rapsody’s 9th Wonder-produced track is the standout single of her newly-released Laila’s Wisdom. Kendrick couldn’t make it to the filming but Rapsody and Lance Skiiwalker are featured. The video is as personal as the song — “Power” serves as a discussion of the depth and purpose of power, both culturally and personally, and the clip focuses on the rappers, people they know and societal elements touched on in the lyrics. Quick cuts and a wide array of extras make for a spirited video.
