Another 'Ace Ventura' Film May Be in the Works
Along with other Morgan Creek classics.
The film studio behind Major League, Young Guns, and Ace Ventura is in talks to reboot its former titles, including the smash-hit Jim Carrey film. Morgan Creek Productions (now Morgan Creek Entertainment Group) is “making a big push across television, features, and digital” by dipping into the archive and polishing off old movies.
The initiative started last year with the TV adaptation of The Exorcist, and the company has eyes on the three aforementioned titles for its future production. The goal is for Jim Carrey, who played the titular pet detective, to pass the family legacy to a “long-lost son or daughter.” There is currently no word on whether the new offspring will talk through their butt as well.
