nanamica & New Balance Celebrate Utility and Sports in New Collaboration
Including new GORE-TEX sneaker options.

Fresh from unveiling its Fall/Winter 2018 lookbook, Japanese label nanamica has now revealed an upcoming collaboration with New Balance‘s Tokyo Design Studio. The collection of footwear and apparel is influenced by the themes of “utility” and “sport” and mixes nanamica’s technical fabrics with New Balance’s athletic heritage.
The focal point of the collection is the collaborative R_C1 sneaker, inspired by New Balance’s 1300 series. The sneaker comes with a GORE-TEX construction and is set to release in either navy or beige with a white midsole. The GORE-TEX material also appears on two Cruiser Jackets in the same color palette, while the capsule is finished by co-branded sweatshirts and T-shirts. The collection will drop at nanamica stores on October 27, before releasing at select retailers including Goodhood and Slam Jam on November 10.
